Getting Started at Hanova
We are always excited about spending time with students and their families who are considering international schools in Xi’an! Whether you are just looking for more information or seriously considering sending your children to Hanova, we would love to help you in any way that we can.
Step 1 : Tour the School and Meet the Principal
Come meet Principal Martin Hughes and take a tour of the school campus. You’ll have a chance to ask questions, get information about Hanova and give any feedback regarding our school.

Step 2 : Complete a Student Application
You can obtain a Hanova student application from the Hanova school office or directly from our website (Click here to download the application).
Step 3 : Submit the Student Application & Refundable Registration Fee
To secure a place in the appropriate class for the coming school year it is necessary to pay a refundable registration fee of ¥2,500 along with each submitted student application. The registration fee is refunded against the first semester’s fees.
Contact the Hanova office staff for more information regarding the student application and registration fee. Please submit the following documents along with the student application form:
A copy of the child’s immunisation record
2 passport-sized photos of the child.
Step 4 : School Admission and English Placement Assessment
Admission to the school and allocation to teaching groups can be confirmed on the completion of the Student application form. Non mother tongue speakers of English from Y7 and above will be given an English placement assessment to determine their teaching groups or suitability for the main school.
Step 5 : Payment
